Ranch Horse Versatility with Lindy Barron
September 7th and 8th, 2024
This is a 2-day clinic, with 5 riders in the mornings, and 5 riders in the afternoons.
This is a clinic where you will ride twice -- both Saturday and Sunday mornings, OR both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Saturday's session will work on horsemanship and reining, while Sunday's session will cover trail course and ranch ride.
ABOUT THE CLINIC:
Requirements: This clinic is suitable for most levels of horse and rider as long as you are comfortable at all speeds - walk, trot, lope, extended lope, ie NOT for beginner riders.
Riders must be over the age of 18 to attend this clinic with Lindy.
In this clinic the goal is to ride patterns with ease. The first half of the Saturday class will be spent defining skills necessary to do so and practicing those skills. Each class will be geared to the individual participants and their horses. Skills will include, collection, softness, body control, speed control, smoothness and communication with your horse. Then you will practice reining patterns.
The Sunday class will be spent practicing the trail portion of Ranch Horse Versatility, and then practicing the ranch ride component of the sport.
Group 1 rides BOTH Saturday and Sunday from 9 am - noon.
Group 2 rides BOTH Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm - 4 pm
ABOUT THE TRAINER:
Lindy Barron grew up on a cattle ranch in Missouri before moving to Alberta.
Lindy has trained horses and students in Working Cow Horse, Team Penning for over 25 years. Award winning rider and trainer in Alberta, Canada and the US, ARCHA, NRCHA AND CTCPA. She has won the prestigious Calgary Stampede Open Team Penning and the Calgary Stampede Open Working Cow Horse. Her outlook is "a positive attitude will get you a long, long way" A direct and encouraging Coach her classes and clinics are fun and packed with great learning for you and your horse.

Maximum Number of Participants - 10 (5 in the am and 5 in the pm). Groups will be assigned after registration closes.
